I took some time during Holy Week to reflect on my life and my faith, and felt inclined to share this. Hallelujah to the King of Kings who rose from the dead so that we too can live again.

I’ll be on the keys 🎹and vocals 🎤at Proof & Press 🥂 tonight w/ the Orlando Madrid 🎷Jazz Quartet! We’ll be playing some jazz, soul, and funk standards, so feel free to bring a friend or five to experience great live music! 🎶

•One of 3 music majors who were selected as one of UTEP’s Top Ten Seniors in 76 year history of the accolade
•One of the honorees 2026 ChangeMakers: Women in Arts
•The first Black female professor in the UTEP Department of Music (in a long time if not the first)
•Two published choral pieces
•Two degrees at the age of 24

So many accomplishments. So many triumphs. So much more ahead of me. I am Black History, 24/7 365.

Sat., 1/31 - On the keys 🎹 w/ Jamal Streeter for the “Krystal Poppin For a Purpose Fest”, a charity event to raise funds that will go towards repairing the Our Lady of Assumption Church’s gym/hall 💒, event is from 12-7pm

Thurs., 2/5 - Singing 🎤and playing 🎹 w/ the Orlando Madrid 🎷Quartet & Press 🥂from 8-11pm

Fri., 2/6 - On the keys 🎹 w/ the PIE Sisters, competing in Lowbrow’s BOTB competition, set starts at 10:30pm

Sat., 2/7 - The AJM Collective 🎶 will be performing for the 2nd Annual El Paso Black Hall of Fame Ceremony (closed event - tickets sold out)

Sun., 2/8 - I’ll be doing a solo set @ Gentleman Boutique by Gon 🤵‍♂️for the Headshots & Handshakes business networking event from 2-4pm

Thurs., 2/19 - Singing 🎤and playing 🎹 w/ the Orlando Madrid 🎷Quartet & Press 🥂from 8-11pm
