The eduFAB summit brought together an incredible global community of educators and makers:

◆ 350 registered educators representing 79 countries
◆ 50 presenters and contributors from 20 countries
◆ Our first-ever Spanish-speaking session, expanding access and inclusion

Two standout sessions showcased how makerspaces can connect creativity to real-world skills and pathways:

Cathy Chen Arriaga, Executive Director of Tech Frontier & Fab Lab, shared how makerspace activities can be intentionally designed to build career-ready manufacturing skills. Her talk connected common tools like 3D printers, CAD, and microcontrollers to Industry 4.0 roles, helping educators reframe classroom projects as pathways to advanced manufacturing, teamwork, quality control, and data-driven problem-solving.

Michelle Delgado, STEAM Instructor and Toy Designer for Fab Lab El Paso, explored how designer toys can serve as a creative framework for STEAM education. She walked through the process of taking a concept from character design to a finished collectible, showing how art, digital design, and fabrication tools can come together in student-centered, hands-on learning experiences.

We were grateful to be part of this global, practitioner-led gathering and to contribute alongside so many educators sharing timely ideas and best practices around makerspaces and digital fabrication in education. Thank you to the Fab Educators Summit team for creating space for connection, learning, and collaboration across the global community.
