Congratulations to Alexus Mcintosh, the UCLA Public Health Scholars Training Program 2023 Williams-Hutchins Health Equity Award Recipient. Alexus was nominated by many peers, her professional mentor, and her faculty mentor. Everyone noted how dedicated, organized, collaborative, curious, and inclusive Alexus is. Kristen Alleyne was also selected as an honorable mention with many peers commenting on Kristen’s leadership and commitment to education and advancing health equity. Congratulations, Alexus & Kristen!

The future of public health is in their hands and we are feeling pretty good about it! HUGE shout out to our CDC Lewis Public Health Scholars both in the UCLA program and with our partners throughout the nation!

We learned from so many wonderful government officials, public health professionals, academics, researchers, and alumni this week.
