Prayer for Myanmar
Earthquake on March 28, 2025

“I love you, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge.” (Psalm 18:1-2, ESV)

Almighty God, we come to you lifting up our brothers and sisters in Myanmar as they face the devastating aftermath of the earthquake. When the earth shakes and the foundations tremble, we run to you our fortress, our deliverer, our refuge in this time of trouble. We ask that you rescue the suffering and those trapped, comfort those who are facing the loss of loved ones and homes, and that you provide for the practical needs of food and shelter. Please open doors of opportunity for the Church of the Province of Myanmar, as well as the Church worldwide, to show your love and be your hands of help. May the darkness of this day give way to the light of your grace and love. This tragedy is compounded by the ongoing war, so we also ask for peace to prevail in the land. We ask these things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
