ALUMNI UPDATE: ANNA FOY 🎓🩰

Anna began dancing at Olympic Ballet School in 2018 at the age of twelve, training diligently at the school until 2023. She then pursued the remainder of her pre-professional training at International Ballet Academy in Cary, North Carolina.

Anna dances now as a Trainee at Oregon Ballet Theatre, the largest professional dance company in Oregon.

OBS, she said, is where her passion for dance blossomed.

“My training at Olympic Ballet School laid a foundation of both technical and artistic understanding of classical ballet,” she said.

“Both my teachers and my fellow students at Olympic Ballet School helped to embed a deep love of dance within me that has never left. I learned to turn that love of dance into discipline, hard work, and a never-ending desire to learn and grow.”

As she transitions from student to professional dancer, Anna noted that leading a successful dance career is rooted in gratitude.

“Dance is truly a beautiful thing, and the ability to train in it, and to have passion for it, is so special and such a privilege. Remembering that helps to make the inevitable frustrations of this career feel much smaller, and easier to learn and grow from!”
