At North Ridge Reserve, we wanted the homes to feel private and commune with the surrounding natural elements. The challenge was to do so, while increasing the density within a small footprint. We achieved this goal, through a mix of building orientation, elevation, layered hardscape, and landscapes. We wanted to create an entertainment space where the home owner could transition between indoors and outdoors, while maintaining a luxurious feeling in either. We accomplished this by adding layers of texture to the various design elements, having dueling fireplaces, and a large slider creating a seamless transition.
