Bernard John Goldman

Bernard John Goldman passed away unexpectedly on February 6, 2026 in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 82.

Bernie was born on February 18, 1943 in Odanah, Ashland County, Wisconsin on the Bad River Indian Reservation, to Bernice Barbano and Joseph M. Goldman. His Aunts and Uncles helped his single mom raise him. He was a proud member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community of the Lake Superior Band of Chippewa Indians.

Bernie graduated in 1961 from DePadua High School. His classmates knew him as John and gave him the nickname “Bear.” He enjoyed playing football and was in other activities including choir. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Bernie was honorably discharged after three years of dedicated service - a service he spoke of with lifelong pride.

Following his military service, Bernie moved to Chicago, where he met Donna Hendricks. They married in 1966 and welcomed their daughter, Michelle, two years later. In 1970 Bernie moved his family to Missoula, Montana so he could connect with his father and pursue higher education at The University of Montana. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1974 and went on to receive his Juris Doctorate in 1977 from the UM Law School. Bernie practiced law alongside his father in their successful firm, Goldman and Goldman. His marriage to Donna ended in 1984. During the 1980s, Bernie had several brief relationships. One relationship led to the birth of his son, Devlin Murray, in 1986.

A series of events in 1987 brought significant change to Bernie’s life (if you know you know). He began a new chapter in the Seattle area in 1990, establishing a delivery business. He reconnected with Linda Wikstrom in 1995 and she joined him in Seattle and was with him until the end. Bernie had many friends, an active social life, and countless adventures with Linda including international travel.

Bernie was an avid football fan throughout his life. He especially loved cheering for the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, and Montana Grizzlies.

Bernie is survived by his partner of the last 30 years, Linda Wikstrom, and her children Jennifer (Tushar) Devidayal and William (Birgit) Wikstrom IV; his ex-wife Donna Hendricks with whom he remained friends; daughter Michelle Avery; son Devlin (Brooke) Murray; grandchildren Patricia (Daniel) Johnsen, Nicole Johnsen, Vada Murray, Evan Murray, Sanjeet Devidayal, Katelyn Devidayal, Lisa Wikstrom and Anika Wikstrom; brother Joe Goldman; half-brother David (Nancy) Lindmeir; and many nieces and nephews.

Bernie is preceded in death by his parents; half-brothers Paul Goldman and Barry Goldman; and son-in-law Mark Avery.

A small graveside service with military honors will be held on June 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Missoula City Cemetery.

Frances Catherine Lembo

Frances C. (Mola) Lembo Born March 18, 1933, in Easton, WA; died May 23, 2026, in Seattle, WA. Survived by children Catherine Lembo, Mary Frances Lembo (John Tindall) and John Lembo (June); grandchildren Corey, Preston, Keith, Carter and Lorenzo, and a large extended Italian family. Preceded in death by J. Richard (Dick) Lembo, her loving husband of 58 years, her parents Michele (Mike) Mola and Esther (Cresto) Mola, and her brothers Johnny and Tony Mola. Frances was a graduate of Bothell High School in Bothell, WA. She moved to Seattle shortly after graduation and started her career as a secretary for Columbia Pictures. She was strongly committed to the Catholic church and to Catholic schools, and became a school secretary, first at Christ the King Catholic School and then at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School. After 12 years of secretarial work, she became an administrative assistant to two Archbishops of Seattle for over 20 years, retiring from this position at the age of 77.

Known for her cooking and hospitality, everyone was welcome at her table--she just added another handful of pasta to make sure no one went hungry.

Remembrances may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church or Catholic Community Services.

Patti Cline

Patti Cline (née Baird), age 64, passed away peacefully after a yearlong courageous battle against cancer on May 23, 2026, in Kirkland, Washington. Born on May 5, 1962, in Los Angeles County, California, Patti lived a life filled with love, adventure, and remarkable achievements.Patti graduated from Woodway High School in Edmonds, Washington, in 1980. During her high school years, she excelled as a standout soccer player. Her talent and dedication to the sport led her to play at the highest level of women's soccer on the West Coast after graduation. Patti competed alongside and against some of the best players in the country, including U.S. Women's Olympic Team captain Michelle Akers. She was invited to train at the Olympic Training Center and came heartbreakingly close to being selected for the inaugural U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team in 1985—a testament to her extraordinary skill and determination.After high school, Patti began her career at Todd Shipyards before spending nine years working as a maintenance worker for Snohomish County. In more recent years, she found fulfillment washing and cleaning windows in newly constructed homes before their owners moved in. Her strong work ethic and attention to detail were evident throughout her professional life.Beyond her career and athletic accomplishments, Patti cherished time spent outdoors. She loved fishing, hiking, and especially camping weekends with her extended family—moments that brought joy and connection with her siblings. Patti was also an avid bowler who enjoyed competing in the Friday night league at Strawberry Lanes in Marysville.Patti’s warmth extended into every aspect of her life. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend whose sense of humor was infectious. She found great joy in babysitting her great-niece and nephews and treasured time spent with family.Patti is survived by her devoted husband Scott; her daughter Emily Cline; granddaughter Winnie Springer; son-in-law Tyler Springer; as well as four sisters and three brothers who will deeply miss her presence. She was predeceased by her beloved son James Cline and her parents Pat and Howard Baird.May Patti Cline’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 13th, at a family members residence, 2pm at 7311 171st Ave SE, Snohomish Wa. 98290.
