Take a look at your roof, and if you see any gutter down spouts draining water onto your roofing system that is a problem area that has high probability of causing a leak into your home.

Due to the concentrated high water volume coming from that downspout exit it puts a strain on the shingles directly in the path of that water. It causes early granule loss from the water forces, pushes water into leak causing areas, and promotes organic growth. All of which you want to avoid on a roof. Which is why we recommend adding down spout extensions to those exit points and extending them down to gutter below, bypassing the water flow on the shingles and preserving the life of the roof system.

Without a downspout extension at those point 10/10 times you will have an issue there before your roof life has reached 50%, especially living in a rainy part of Washington such as the Puget Sound Region.
