Please make sure to check labels of anything you give to your dogs! Xylitol (Birch Sugar) is DEADLY to dogs. Did you know almost all gum is sugar free? If your dog gets into a child’s backpack when they smell watermelon gum or some other gum that smells yummy, it takes VERY little time for them to start showing life threatening symptoms. This includes already chewed gum someone has spit out on the ground! Most people don’t know how deadly gum is to a dog.

Heads up everyone! One of our rescue dogs, Lily, was saved 15 yrs ago with an expensive surgery to remove a piece of cob that blocked, and was about to perforate, her intestines.
