It was a very bittersweet weekend for NJ Heat. Our Sparks did a fantastic job and we could not be any more proud. They went in determined in the WildCard Prelims and got their highest score to date sending them straight to Finals where they outdid themselves once again and earned their official highest score of the season putting them 3rd out of the 69 teams in their division not to mention the thousands of teams that did not make it to the Summit. You ladies performed your heart out and with good reason.
This weekend was dedicated to a very special member of our NJ Heat Family and our biggest fan Mary Beth Greene. We were heartbroken to hear of her passing this weekend and send all of our love to her daughters, who we have been blessed to have on our teams Jillian and Katie and her husband Barry at this difficult time. NJ Heat is better for having known her and will always remember and appreciate the love and support she showed all of our teams. No matter what was going on or how she was feeling she always had a positive outlook and an infectious smile. We know that we had an angel with us this weekend.
For anyone that would like to pay their respects, services will be held Tuesday 4-8 at Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin NJ
