So what exactly IS a body butter? 🤔They are different from creams and lotions. Body butters are anhydrous (means that they do not contain any water 💦 ), and are made up of carrier oils and luxurious butters like Shea, Mango, and etc. Creams and lotions contain water and is made with an emulsifier to mix the water and oil, since oil and water do not naturally mix.
Body butters give the deepest moisture that lasts the longer than creams and lotions. Because it is made up of purely oils and butters, it can feel thicker and oilier than creams and lotions.
