Sentinel Management Company is looking for a motivated professional looking to join our team as a leasing agent across multiple properties in downtown Minneapolis and Eagan.
The candidate will be primarily responsible for leasing a portfolio of over 700 units, including a new lease-up. Scheduled hours in the office will be limited, but the candidate must be available to respond to leads and perform tours during off-hours as needed. Pay will be heavily skewed toward high commission pay for each lease.
The ideal candidate is proactive, energetic, and possesses strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong internet skills are required, and the candidate must have fluency in conducting virtual tours and managing leads using various systems. The preferred candidate is also able maintain a positive attitude and be able to interact with a wide range of people.
Core Responsibilities
Communicate effectively and positively to new prospective residents about the properties and amenities
Perform market surveys of competing properties and provide recommendations for improving vacancy rates and resident retention
Review and maintain online advertisements using a variety of media and promoting materials
Facilitate and assist in conducting the application process; confirm rental application data and personal references
Assist in preparing lease documents for incoming residents
Thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications and all policies/procedures.
Present feedback to supervisor about visual impact of property
Courteous handling of resident relations.
Skills
Proven working experience as leasing agent
Strong self-motivated skills, with the ability to work outside of a structured work setting
Experience with new lease-up is preferred
Working knowledge of real estate law and leasing practices
Proven track of successful sales record
Up to date with property market status
MS Office familiarity
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Persuasive with marketing and sales skills
Customer service orientation
