Her family wrote her obituary. Then, three days later, she miraculously opened her eyes!
We recently had the honor of telling Mindy's story for the American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline Stroke Initiative.
A camping trip turned into emergency open-heart surgery. Multiple strokes and seizures. A coma. Weeks of silence. Her husband Dave wrote her obituary, and then, the day before her birthday, Mindy woke up.
She couldn't walk or lift her arms. But every day she fought her way back through intensive rehab. Today, she’s living proof that hope, resilience, and community can change everything!

It's that time of year! We're hiring for our 2026 Video Production SummerInternship.
This is a paid, full-time role (June–August 2026, with potential to extend into fall) based out of our studio in Edina. You'll get hands-on experience assisting on video shoots, learning our post-production workflow, and sitting in on creative meetings– all while helping nonprofits and purpose-driven organizations tell stories that matter.

Introducing our newest member at Blue Key Media... Rob Whiteside! 🎉
The team is so excited to welcome Rob as our new Lead Cinematographer. You’ll usually find him lighting and shooting on set. Rob developed a love for creating photos and videos after taking an art class in high school. After all those years, he joins us at BKM to help bring your stories to light.
