PROJECT '40 COUPE + a little touch up on a '40 Sedan! Today was all the intricate details on the passenger side of the coupe. Window frames, body contour, the trunk jambs, etc. Then bonus! Worked out a little garage scuff on the fender of a friend's '40 2dr Sedan. Next weekend I'll be taking a break for Tri State Auto Exhibition. "Detailers are not cleaners." Folks. This is why YOU need to regularly wash your vehicle in winter! Touchless is best but I'd say it would even be better to use a tunnel brush wash and fix the marring later than to have this kind of salt etching. When a new car or truck is $45K to $90K or more why ruin it by not washing?

So I'm old, I guess. What do I know about cars made after about 1972? Well, apparently the '98 Firebird today has some pedigree. It's a Trans Am WS-6 Performance Package! At any rate, I am no longer calling it paint correction. Let's say paint improvement instead. It was showing a little age. But I think it turned out well and the owner seemed pleased so 6hrs was worth every minute. Next weekend I should be back on the '40 Ford project.
