Tuesday Tip (We’re back!)

Sorry we’ve missed our Tuesday tips the last few weeks—summer is here, and many of us are heading out on vacations and weekend trips.

Here are a few travel safety reminders:

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten. On this Memorial Day, we stand together in gratitude and remembrance.

Happy EMS Appreciation Week to the dedicated EMS professionals of Warren County and the mutual aid partners who stand ready to answer the call 24/7. Thank you for your commitment, sacrifice, and the care you provide to our communities every day. Your service does not go unnoticed.

Huge thank you to all the men and women of the fire service for your dedication, sacrifice, and professionalism every single day. Whether it’s the middle of the night, holidays, or the worst conditions imaginable, you show up when people need help the most.

Grateful for everything you do to keep our communities safe.

Another case brought to closure. Our dispatchers played a vital role throughout the incident that day. Job well done by all agencies involved for their teamwork and dedication. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of our former colleague, Mabel Cook. Mabel dedicated many years to the front office at the 911 center and, although she wasn’t a member of our local, she was always someone we could count on. Whether it was helping clarify contract language, tracking down information, or sharing her deep knowledge of how the sometimes complicated interworking of government work operates, she was an incredible resource.

Mabel was an asset not only to dispatchers, but to the entire county. She will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time.

Big credit to everyone who worked this case: investigators, law enforcement, prosecutors, and especially our dispatchers who kept everything connected that day and helped track this subject down.
