The structural landscape of the conference has completely shifted after management successfully finalized a terrifying perimeter trio.
Wilson helps the team by commandingly winning against premium coverage looks and creating instant separation at every level of the field.
Mitchell helps the team by stretching opposing defensive boundaries vertically with explosive linear speed and dangerous jump-ball capability.
Cooper Jr. helps the team by punishing defenders in space with his highly physical catch-and-run strength and elite contact balance.
Defensive coordinators are facing an absolute nightmare mapping out bracket coverages against a group with this much explosive depth.
The newly installed offensive playbook is officially primed to hunt for chunk plays on every single possession this autumn. :jet:🔥

Azareye'h Thomas didn't arrive in New York with the same expectations as a first-round pick.
But the rookie cornerback gained valuable experience during his first NFL season while beginning to carve out a role in the secondary.
His season included:
💚 22 tackles
🤍 7 passes defended
💚 2 tackles for loss
Thomas appeared in 12 games and started five of them, earning opportunities as the season progressed and adding depth to the Jets' secondary.
For a young player still adjusting to the NFL, the season provided valuable reps and a chance to continue his development.
The next step will be building on that experience and competing for a larger role in 2026.
That's what makes him one of the young Jets defenders worth keeping an eye on moving forward.

Trumaine Johnson and Morris Claiborne brought a veteran presence to our boundaries during a highly transitional 2018 campaign.
Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye quickly emerged as one of the most dynamic, hard-hitting safety pairings in the league.
The perimeter faced immediate depth challenges the following year, forcing Nate Hairston and Darryl Roberts into demanding starting roles.
A massive franchise-altering trade completely reset the defensive timeline ahead of 2020, removing a major piece from the secondary.
Marcus Maye shouldered the immense leadership burden beautifully, utilizing his elite deep-field range to erase explosive plays.
His steady veteran communication directly allowed cornerbacks like Blessuan Austin and a rising Bryce Hall to play fast and aggressive on the outside.
Bryce Hall took a massive step forward during the 2021 season, anchoring one side of the perimeter with rare physical discipline.
With Ashtyn Davis and later Elijah Riley logging crucial reps at safety, this secondary proved it could endure heavy roster churn and still fight. 🟩
