Great to visit with local businessman Harold Diamond, president of Diamond Chemical Company Inc., to discuss tax benefits made permanent in the end-of-year budget package.

Harold made nearly a million dollars in upgrades and improvements last year, and we want to provide firms like Diamond that support 250 local jobs with the certainty needed to keep making such investments with confidence.

As New Jersey’s only member of the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee, I’ll continue to work to support economic growth policies.

Diamond Chemical Company, Inc. is committed to preserving the environment as evidenced by our Green Key® product line which was developed in partnership with the U.S. E.P.A’s Design for the Environment initiative.

In furtherance of our goal to lower our environmental impact, Diamond will begin the partial powering of our operations via a six acre, 2.5 megawatt solar farm. This project is presently being installed adjacent to Diamond’s East Rutherford property.

The use of solar power will lessen Diamond’s energy expense which will save Diamond (and its customers money), reduce emissions, and lessen Diamond’s environmental footprint.
