News - The Village Yarn & Fiber Shop A fantastic shop that has everything for your knitting, crocheting and spinning needs! Locally owned and located in East Rochester, New York.

We will be closing for both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, so we can spend the last few moments of this year with our families. We wish you the happiest of New Year's, and we will see you all in 2020!

We have a tradition of casting on a brand new project on January 1st, for the brand new year. What are you casting on?

Whether you're frantically trying to finish up last minute gifts or need a gift for the yarn lover in your life, we have you covered! There's still time to knit up mittens or a hat with extra bulky Malabrigo Rasta, or a faux fur cowl with Sirdar Alpine.

The person on your list who wants to try a new hobby might love a True Creations drop spindle and a bundle of Malabrigo Nube spinning fiber, or a Fiber Trends needle felting kit with all the tools they need to get started.

For the knitter or crocheter in your life who loves to collect beautiful tools, we have everything from tiny, sharp scissors and unique yarn bowls, to decadent swifts and ball winders.

There are many more new things in the shop, so be sure to stop in and check them all out!

We will be closed on Thursday, December 12th to celebrate the life of our dear Mom Irene who has passed on to the next realm.

We will resume our normal business hours on Friday, December 13th.
