Campaign to Elect Kevin Wilson East Ridge City Judge

I just received an AG informal opinion today and last week from Tim Irwin, a member of the Judicial Ethics committee for the General Sessions Court Judges conference, relative to my ability to hold two part-time judge positions at the same time, as permitted by Ordinance #1166 which is on the August 4 ballot for East Ridge. These opinions support the opinion of the ER City Attorney who advised the City Council that it was appropriate to amend the City Charter to allow the City Court Judge to hold another part-time elected judicial position.
In order for me to continue to be the East Ridge Judge, Ordinance #1166 must be approved and I must receive the most votes.

Everyone who has looked at it in depth has reached the same opinion: it is permissible for a judge to hold two part-time municipal court seats simultaneously.

This is a copy of the East Ridge Ballot for the August 4 election. As you can see there are 2 Ordinances proposed to amend the City Charter. Ordinance 1166 pertains to the Judge Position/Election. It clarifies that the Judge must be a residence of Hamilton County and also allows the Judge to hold another elected Judicial office. Since I am the elected Collegedale Judge, this amendment will allow me to serve as East Ridge Judge if I am elected.
SO, I need you to vote "For" the amendment and vote for Kevin B. Wilson as well.
