The 17th annual Global Empowerment Meeting at Harvard in Boston. This year’s theme:reimagining international development, brought together global leaders to explore new approaches to sustainable community-driven change.

This Labor Day, we’re celebrating the strongest workforce we know: Nyaka grandmothers.

No time clocks. No days off. Just love, land, and the relentless labor of raising a community.
From sunrise to sunset, they farm, cook, carry water, nurse the sick, and show us what true strength looks like. Their work is unpaid, often unseen, but it’s the very foundation of everything we do at Nyaka.

Today, we see them.
