4 year follow up ⬆️ this vertical soft tissue defect was the aftermath of a GTR procedure to treat an 8mm intrabony defect. After therapy I was thrilled to gain stability, bone fill and reduce pockets. However, there was an evident recession at the interproximal papilla. I opted for a closed tunnel approach with a single incision at the level of the free mucosa to insert a tuberosity graft. Pictures show the evolution throughout the las 4 years. ⏭️Complex cases require more elaborate solutions ⛑️ 78 year old female presents for implant consultation, after extraction of #11,12. No bone grafting was placed because she initially opted for an RPD, which she didn’t tolerate well. Treatment plan included: 1- Visually Guided™️ Implant osteotomies with Densah burs and placing . 2- Lateral GBR with Autogenous + Allograft + L-PRF sticky bone, covered with collagen membrane soaked in PRF and secured with dissolvable sutures 5-0 Glycolon and 4-0 chromic gut. Post-op care limited to Tylenol + Ibuprofen, Medrol Dose Pack, Amoxicillin 875mg and Stellalife Recovery kit with 3x3x3 protocol.
