Make a statement, but make it functional!
This custom designed arched valance range hood quickly catches your eye as you enter the kitchen - but with limited storage space in the kitchen, it was important to squeeze every cubic inch of space possible out of this cabinetry for functional storage. Pull-out spice racks flanking the range hood and lots of extra storage space behind the doors of the range hood did just that. Functional, beautiful, and practical.

Reach out to Veracity Cabinets if you’re considering a kitchen renovation that needs functional and elegant attention to detail.

Cabinet redooring is a great option for homeowners who are otherwise content with the color and layout of their kitchen cabinets, but want to update the function and aesthetic of their kitchen. In this Lansing home, we stain matched the existing red oak cabinetry, but updated the doors and drawer fronts to a full-overlay shaker style door.
Redooring is one of the best ways to transform your cabinets in a kitchen renovation on a tight budget.

Functional upgrades are often overlooked in a kitchen renovation. More than just the outside of the cabinets looking good, we want to make sure your kitchen is usable and well-organized.

Here are some of the most common functional upgrades and storage solutions we install in kitchens:
1. Pull-out trash cans: If you have the available cabinet space, these are a great option to keep your trash out of sight and easily accessible. We prefer to use the bottom mount soft-close trash cans with the dovetailed maple carriage. These units function smoothly and are easier to clean and maintain than the old style side-mount glide units.

2. Pull-out shelves: In base cabinets, many items get pushed to the back and become hard to access without getting on your hands and knees and clawing through the contents of the cabinetry. Pull-out shelves bring the entire contents of the cabinet out to you with full-extension undermount glides, the same as we use with our drawer boxes. Better yet, we use an adjustable height pilaster system that the glides are mounted on, so you can maximize the usable space depending on how you wish to organize the contents of the cabinet.

3. Base cabinet organizers: There are lots of different options for base and wall cabinet organizers on the market today. Pull-out spice racks, utensil organizers, and sheet pan dividers are becoming more popular to keep things organized and more easily accessible.

Even if your cabinets aren’t in need of refacing, we can help with installing new kitchen cabinet hardware to keep your cabinetry functional and up to date. Contact us to learn more about what options are available for your kitchen.

One of my favorite ways to take a kitchen to the next level is to add end panels and wainscoting to otherwise flat and plain areas of the cabinetry. In this kitchen, we added custom multi-panel wainscoting and end panel to the back and side of this peninsula, and a 3-opening custom panel on the side of the pantry to the ceiling. These panels are the first things you see when entering the room - adding depth and dimension to these surfaces draws your eye immediately to these areas that were once nothing but boring flat surfaces.
Taking the time to execute these details correctly is important - proportionately sizing the stiles and rails, scribing these panels tight to the floor and wall, and ensuring the rails line up precisely with the adjacent doors. More than just adding value to your home, we strive for the highest quality finished product possible.
