If you are closing your own above-ground pool please DO NOT USE a gizmo in your skimmer… NEVER EVER EVER! Water will collect in there, freeze & the weight will pull your wall down or buckle the wall or at the very least crack your skimmer… The correct way to close up your skimmer on an above-ground pool is to put a winter faceplate on it, take the basket out, take your flapper out, leave the skimmer cover on & remove the hose from the bottom, leave that hole open… We understand that some people are choosing to close their own pools due to the economy, if you are unsure on how to do something during a closing please feel free to call the office & we will be more than happy to answer any questions…
