Flying Pig Design Company

This Idaho pendant was one of my first. It’s funny to look at the design and construction changes over time- I find I prefer natural wood, no lacquer or other finishes.

This was the first piece of wood that inspired me to try making jewelry and ornaments- I split the log for firewood, but immediately decided it was WAY too cool to burn. The tree was in a bad location on my property, actually touching the house. It also had nasty thorns and needles that made it really hard to walk around. So I took it out, not even thinking of the beauty of the wood. Glad that one day I was paying attention to natures art! The wood has since made its way into Christmas tree ornaments and earrings and necklaces, and gave me a fun hobby!
