In the middle of 2023 I hit a block. Or got stuck in a rut. Burnt out. Whatever you call it when you have too many and not enough thoughts at the same time. I needed structure and freedom but felt unable to find the correct outlet. Labyrinth continued to appear- on the land of a retreat I love, under a stack of piles as a gift from long ago, on a bumper sticker of a snow-dusted car. I was gripped, but unsure by what exactly. Months later I attempted my first purposeful squiggle, and another, and another. And on the path I’ve started piecing myself back together in a new way. With structure and freedom. With compassion and patience. With a modern meander taking me on a slow walk back into my soul.

Play, novelty, and disrupting the mundane are all core parts of how I approach my projects, both professionally and personally. It's important to me that we hold space for lightness in a world that so often wants us to be cold, hard, and serious.
