Local Roots Farm

It's time for another installment of "Local Roots Farm in the Olden Days!" Here are some pics from 2009. We really hit our stride as growers that year, with an awesome crew, more acreage in production, and another round of dinners on the farm. This is also the only year we ever made farm t-shirts. Should we bring back the original LRF Treviso shirt for 2026?

It's Local Roots Farm's 20th year! Here are some pics from our very first year, way back in 2007. We started out growing about 3 acres of veg, renting/partnering with a farmer on land near Carnation. Our first year we sold our produce at the Broadway, Queen Anne Farmers Market, and Madrona farmers markets. We also had a 60 person CSA (bonkers, considering it was our very first year), and sold to a few great restaurants: Sitka & Spruce, Cafe Flora, and Lark.
