We purchased this 60k mile 1993 Toyota MR-2 a month and a half ago. Unfortunately during our early ownership of the car, a piston ring decided to peace out and leave the car smoking and not running well.

After tossing around more than a few options, the car was shipped out to TCS Motorsports in Kentucky where the turbo engine was removed. A low mileage 2014 Lexus ES350 is now without a heart, however, it’s big V6 now lives on in the MR2. This 2GR-FE makes great noises, pulls like a freight train, and even lost 100 lbs over the original turbo engine. Making a mere 282 whp and 250 wtq in this light weight package is a SUPER fun recipe.

Car is not currently for sale. We believe we’re going to enjoy this one for a little bit given all the effort that has gone behind this car to make it whole and a half!!
