Good news, bad news. Good news is I successfully completed my first M92 chip swap on a Nintendo Switch!
The bad news is it didn't fix the error code like I hoped it would. But I'm still pretty excited, being able to replace that chip is going to be very useful as they go bad pretty often.

Successfully completed my first (2!) Xbox Series X hdmi port replacements this past week!
It was a good learning experience, the motherboards were a lot thicker than the handhelds I'm used to working with. It took a lot more heat than I typically work with but they turned out well!

I've long wanted to try repairing ribbon cables that aren't too broken. Took a stab at it this evening and this one now works!
The left speaker wasn't working on this ds lite screen. The trace didn't appear broken and the cable was solid but there was no signal at the speaker end. I repaired the trace with a small wire and now the speaker works again!
Now to see if I can get it to fit in a shell...

Did my first game gear recapping. 20 capacitors replaced, that's a lot!
Always fun getting the feel for the layout of a new console and there's nothing quiet like the feeling when it turns on and works correctly for the first time.

Just finished updating this previously completely dead Game Boy Color!
This game boy was one of my first repair projects and was what really got me into handheld repair. It had a broken power switch and a bunch of broken traces that I had to follow and reconnect. It was a great learning experience but it's been sitting around unused for awhile.
I wanted to preserve the memory of the project so I moved it over from its original dandelion yellow shell to a clear shell where I can see the repairs that took place. I used yellow buttons because of the original yellow shell, and added a new larger IPS screen to modernize it!

Two transparent DS Lites I just finished up!
These shells had a lot of imperfections and it took a lot of trimming to get everything lined up. They do look cool though.
