Earlier this month, TLC staff traded their field clothes for blazers and headed to the state capitol to advocate for the future of conservation in North Carolina. 🌲🏛️

Alongside landowners and conservation partners from across the state, we met with local legislators to discuss the importance of funding that protects farms, forests, natural areas, and public access to land. These investments help make conservation projects across the Triangle and beyond possible — including future preserves like Rose Dairy Farm in Johnston County.

From farmland preservation funding to the extension of the NC Conservation Tax Credit, these decisions have a direct impact on the land, water, and communities we all care about.
