Thank you to the AJ Fletcher Foundation for its generous three-year, $150,000 investment in Durham Tech’s leadership development programs.

Strong leadership helps colleges innovate, adapt, and better serve students—and this support will help Durham Tech continue developing leaders at every level of the institution. One of our flagship programs is the President’s Emerging Leaders Institute (PELI), which brings together employees from across the college to strengthen leadership skills while tackling real institutional challenges.

We were especially impressed by the most recent PELI cohort, whose research projects explored opportunities to improve Durham Tech’s operations, student experience, and organizational effectiveness. Their thoughtful recommendations demonstrate the power of investing in the people who make Durham Tech stronger every day.

🚀 Durham Tech’s 3-Day AI Bootcamp kicked off today!

More than 30 students will spend the rest of this week exploring the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence — beginning with foundational concepts in AI and machine learning, moving into modern AI tools and architectures, and culminating in hands-on experience with data cleaning, model training, evaluation, and real-world AI applications through interactive activities.

Thanks to generous support from Google, the bootcamp is offered completely free to participants.

This fall, Durham Tech is launching new Artificial Intelligence degree and certificate programs, helping prepare students for emerging careers in one of today’s fastest-growing fields.
