I'm SO proud and excited to share that Durham now has a tailored-for-us framework to functionally end homelessness in five (5) years!!!

Of course, a plan is only the beginning - we'll need buy-in from everyone. Find more information about the framework on the City website or by watching the Joint City County and School Board meeting from this morning. If you believe, like I do, that ending homelessness is an important and reachable goal, I hope you'll join in the work by sharing the word, reaching out to your local leaders, and encouraging investment from everyone who calls Durham home. 🐂💙

Unfortunately, your electeds don't have much more info than you, but I will keep you updated as I know. And bet that I'll be out here as I'm able (as I was yesterday). Love to you all. Truly can't say enough good things about Shanetta Burris!! I'm so excited to cast my vote for this passionate, authentic, brilliant individual and I sure hope you'll join me.

I'm proud to support the Workers' Slate and am especially proud to be casting my vote for DeDreana Freeman for Ward 1. DeDreana is a crucial voice on this council and puts in the work. We don't always agree, but I know she'll come to the table honestly and with the people of Durham in mind - what more can you ask for in a representative body in this incredible, diverse, creative, engaged, and caring city.
