Jesus gave us a new identity when he died on the cross. He took what used to be our identity and gave us His identity. Now we can boldly say that we are RIGHTEOUS not because of anything we have done but because of what He did for us!

One thing that causes people to shy away from God when they sin is strong feelings of condemnation. But that is just like running away from the Doctor when you fall sick! Jesus Christ came to change that narrative. He came to free us from condemnation so that we can approach God without fear even in times when we fall.
