It's been a while since posting here! But just wanted to invite any Duke Cru Alums in the Triangle area to join us for a Duke Cru Family & Alumni dessert this Saturday from 7:30-10:00pm in the Divinity School AMCR room. It's open house style to drop in when you can.

We acknowledge that Christ followers, including ourselves, in the past have failed to confront racial injustice. In particular, we recognize that this complicity has contributed to the ongoing systemic oppression of the black community. We grieve and repent our sin, and in the power of the Holy Spirit, we are committed to seeking change in our hearts and in our world.

Furthermore, as a ministry, we are committed to pursuing unity and diversity as a body of believers with a desire to more fully represent the picture that God gives us of the Kingdom of Heaven. (Rev 9:7)

Read the lament of an African American mother in response to the sin of racism, and the hope she holds onto in Jesus.

Let is listen and hear, let us mourn together, and hope together, and stand together. (Link to the article “The Heart of a Grieving Black Mother” in our Bio)
