Sofia (she/her) is an awesome intern in my practice who offers virtual therapy on a sliding scale based on financial need, and she has one more need based pro bono spot too. She is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and is also incorporating DBT and mindfulness. She is passionate about reproductive justice and parental mental health. Sofia works with adults in NC across the lifespan. Our practice is explicitly LGBTQIA and neurodivergence affirming, s*x and body positive.

Please have clients reach out via https://theprojectyes.com/contact and mention wanting to work with her!

Starts next week!! I am thrilled that Jonah Leslie (he/him), therapist at Project Yes PLLC is once again offering his Polyamory Support Group, this time in a drop-in fashion! This is for adults 18+, whether they are curious about, have started exploring, or have been engaged in polyamory or ethical non monogamy/ CNM. Folks can attend with cameras on or off, with an alias or their real names, alone or with partner(s). They can also attend any and all of the sessions, sign up is for each given week. This group is a psychoeducational and peer support group model, and does not constitute therapy.

There are sustainer ($35) and general ($25) pricing tiers, and a few reduced cost spots ($10 based on financial need).

Sign up here: https://projectyes.Eventbrite.com If folks are interested in relationship or individual therapy services with Jonah, please have them reach out via https://theprojectyes.com/contact and mention being referred by you, wanting to work with him. Services are virtual and out of network.

Please pass this along to anyone who may benefit. We look forward to having you!

I have been busy blooming.

Last year was so hard and came to an end in a tumble down a tunnel, and 2024 started off with the death of multiple people I knew.

It was a series of endings, intensely feeling disorientation, and fierce destruction out of which the only way to emerge was to integrate and rebuild.

So this year has been just that.

I have spent time in nature and quiet, drew and scribbled, danced at ecstatic dance and concerts, belted my heart out at grief rituals and song circles.

I have gazed deeply into flowers and the eyes of people I care about, wrote handwritten notes and offered words of encouragement to others and myself.

I read books on shamanic, toltec, and yogic wisdom and studied new trauma approaches, continued psychedelic trainings, and mapped out new offerings.

I spent time reflecting on my spiritual teacher’s teachings and keeping company with my yoga family.

I took more naps and laid on my back mid day, and also swayed to deep dub step beats and took long walks on mountains.

I have taken time to tell my story and attend to wounds in my heart, and also set boundaries so that my time is protected to be with people who are grateful, supportive, and with whom i breathe without fear of judgment.

I intentionally made plans with old friends and new colleagues, a little at a time, particularly when I was more tender.. so that I was not overwhelmed.

Now I’m 6 months into this year… and my inner garden is fully blooming.

I still meditate nightly, take time for my own integration sessions, and monitor my energy.. which includes politely declining many things… so I then can say yes really remarkable things that I am in awe of, like supporting folks in desperate circumstance, volunteering at revolutionary events, helping out at training programs, and leading retreats.

My heart is full and my plants are healthy.

I am not dreaming. I am dreaming my dream into life.

With many thanks to @christinapaterosart and @publioyoga @coaching_life_recreated @anandadevi_kyung @sheffa.a @johannathompson.tiergestuetzt and other loving beings 🙏🏻
