This course provides a thorough review of the liver, GB, and biliary tract anatomy, structure, and function. Recommended sonographic imaging techniques including 2D B-mode grayscale, color Doppler, contrast-enhanced sonography, elastography, and fusion imaging will be reviewed.

The course details ideal scanning techniques, patient positioning and preparation, common benign and malignant pathologies to their sonographic findings, and interventional procedures: sonography-guided biopsy, abscess drainage, and radiofrequency ablation techniques.

Course includes sonography physics, instrumentation, transducer types, common artifacts, and extensive on-screen examples.
