Come out to Durham Central Park on Saturday, June 13 to kick-off National Pollinator Week with us at our fifth annual Durham Bee Day! 🐝 🐝 🐝 Learn all about bees and other pollinators and how you can keep them healthy. This will “bee” a free, family-friendly event!

See a demonstration hive, taste different types of honey, meet local beekeepers, take home a free pollinator plant, and join us at 10:30 for a bee parade!

This tree planting season we gave away 917 trees to Durham residents for planting in their neighborhoods to expand our urban tree canopy. 🏡 This redbud, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, was planted just a couple of months ago. 🌳 We can't wait to see it bloom next spring!

Urban trees help to not only provide shade and beauty, but also regulate stormwater, reduce air and water pollution, and limit extreme heat.

If you've received a tree from Keep Durham Beautiful we'd love to see how it's doing! Share your photos of your Durham trees with us here or via email.
