The last spotlight for this amazing roster, is the guy behind the curtain of DanceGruv Radio.

🎧 Marshall Jones (Marshall Jones):

From the rave floors of Chapel Hill, NC, to the legendary venues Smartbar and Crobar in Chicago, Marshall Jones has been immersed in house music culture since 1999. Formative internships with Josh Wink’s O**m Recordings and Large Music, gave him a strong industry foundation and knowledge. With sharing stages with legends like Roy Davis Jr., DJ Heather, Colette, and many more, it shaped him as an artist. In 2009, he returned to NC and co-founded a beloved house music night in Raleigh at the iconic Mosaic Lounge. Marshall’s journey is rooted in dedication and a deep love for his craft. He has performed nationally and internationally at events such as Mi Casa Holiday, MoogFest, and West Coast Weekender. Currently, he is CEO of DanceGruv Radio and a member of The Floor. He continues to pour everything he has into the movement and the supporters who love this music.

The next DJ on the lineup has two sides. On one side, he is known for playing some of the best Techno sets in the state. The other half, he knows how to throw down some Jackin’ House! And you will get a taste of that at The Old North Bar on Saturday.

Johan / DEAD LANGUAGE:

Johan’s journey into music began in childhood, exploring his father’s record collection. It was his path as a producer that truly ignited in middle school after a bet challenged him to create an electronic track in a week. His connection to Durham, NC’s underground scene deepened after attending a Techno event in 2018, leading to lasting friendships and the development of his signature sound: driving, ethereal Techno. He likens it to the layered intensity of a good Thai curry, flavorful without being overwhelming. Over the years, Johan has collaborated with local artists and watched the Durham scene grow and diversify, even through the challenges of the pandemic. After five years of planning, he founded Kinetic Audio, a platform dedicated to giving artists creative freedom beyond commercial pressures.
