The Ivy Community Center, in partnership with the Alpha Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, proudly hosted its 32nd Annual Cotillion Ball at the Durham Convention Center on November 22, 2025.

This year’s elegant celebration, themed “Reflections of Elegance: Becoming Precious Pearls,” marked a memorable evening in which fourteen debutantes were formally presented to the community and society. The event honored grace, leadership, cultural enrichment, and the continued commitment to developing young women of excellence.

During the evening’s festivities, the Queen and her Court were introduced:
• Queen: Miss Sydney Shumate
• First Attendant: Miss Milan Young
• Second Attendant: Miss Lyndsey Peace Lofton

The Ivy Community Center and the Alpha Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated extend heartfelt congratulations to all debutantes and their families, and sincere appreciation to our community, the supporters, volunteers, and community partners who made this distinguished event a continued success.
