NCSSM Step Up to STEM

Step Up to STEM’s Dr. Gerri Cole, along with Extended Learning’s Hannah Isley were on the road recently participating in the Professional Share Fair at The StateView Hotel on N.C. State University’s campus. What a wonderful event to introduce current Kenan Fellows to the many organizations and opportunities available to support their professional growth and ultimately North Carolina’s students and communities!

It was wonderful to share all of the opportunities available to students in Scotland and Robeson County as a result of the Anonymous Trust grant! Thank you for the amazing opportunity!

This past Saturday, Step Up to STEM’s Dr. Gerri Cole and Extended Learning’s Camilla Brothers participated in the “I Matter Community Rally” at Enfield Middle S.T.E.A.M. Academy in Halifax County. The community celebration focused on empowering and uplifting Halifax County students and reminding them that they matter. Families enjoyed music, food trucks, community vendors, student showcases, and giveaways. Thank you to Ms. Mahalia Carey, Halifax County School District, and to Enfield Middle STEAM Academy for the wonderful opportunity to participate!

Step Up to STEM, along with the Extended Learning team, was on the road this past Tuesday, participating in the PSRC’s Summer Camp Information Night in Pembroke, NC. Thank you to Brian Locklear, for the amazing opportunity to share the wide range of summer camp opportunities available through our Extended Learning Department!
