This is our love letter to the caretakers, the chosen family, the quiet listeners, and the fierce protectors. We know this time of year can bring up a lot: grief, longing, tension, and hurt. Not everyone has- or had- a loving relationship with their mother. But many of us have found motherly love in friends, aunties, mentors, elders, and even in ourselves.

Today we celebrate the intimate, everyday acts of love- packing lunches, holding space, checking-in, making someone feel safe.

Not everyone who nurtures is called "mom", but their love is no less powerful.
