May is Mental Health Awareness Month π
At Bryan County EMS, we recognize that mental health is just as important as physical health. Life can be overwhelming, and many people silently face challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and burnout.
As first responders, healthcare workers, family members, friends, and neighbors, it is important that we continue breaking the stigma surrounding mental health conversations. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
This month, we encourage everyone to check in on themselves and those around them. A simple conversation, kind word, or listening ear can make a meaningful difference.
You are not alone. Support is available, and your mental health mattersβthis month and every month.

Today, we honor Mindi Allen on what would have been her 8-year anniversary with Bryan County EMS. ππ
For nearly eight years, Mindi dedicated her life to serving others β showing up with compassion, strength, and a heart that never hesitated to help those in need. She was the kind of paramedic you could always count on, the one who made tough calls a little easier and long shifts a little lighter.
Although we lost Mindi this past January, her impact is still felt every single day. In every patient cared for, every life touched, and every crew that carries on the work she loved so much β a piece of her remains.
Today isnβt just about the loss we carry, but the legacy she built. We celebrate her dedication, her service, and the countless ways she made a difference.
Happy 8-year anniversary, Mindi. Your time with us meant everything, and your memory continues to guide us. π€
