I’m excited to announce the launch of two new websites! One of which is for psychotherapist, yogi, and BFYB certified professional, Melissa Golub. Melissa is one of those truly authentic individuals who walks the talk, with mindfulness and compassion at the forefront of each of her offerings. She practices from the perspective that everyone has the capacity to find peace, empowerment, and freedom within.

With a growing private practice for individual psychotherapy services and Befriending Your Body (BFYB)™® programs, she found herself in need of a warm, inviting website capable of taking online registrations. This site is geared toward adults who want resources and support in connecting with their intuition; who want to feel empowered in their decisions, and tap into what they really want, desire, love, and need.

In order to connect with their potential feelings of anxiety and/or depression, and desire to feel free, I wanted to emulate a sense of warmth, grounding, and compassion in the site’s overall aesthetic. This was accomplished through soft, earthy colors and textures; clean, spacious fonts; and comforting imagery. The copy is written to convey a sense of understanding; and the CTAs focus on inspiring empowered action.

Why Fonts Matter: Similarly to how a web design uses visual cues to attract your clients (something I discussed in a post last week) fonts are important in determining how your brand is perceived. For small businesses focused on building lasting customer relationships, making sure that your brand voice is communicated properly is essential.

For example, consider a fine dining restaurant… The menu might use a thinner, “lighter” font that conveys elegance and high-end vibes. It fits the $50 entrees and upscale atmosphere, offering customers a sense of quality and class—exactly what they are looking for, or else they would be at a different restaurant, like a Buffalo Wild Wings; whose font speaks entertainment, excitement, noise, and sports…all the reasons we love the famous wing shop.

Fonts tell your audience who you are without needing to physically speak it, and in doing so, help call the right people in—the ones who are looking for what you have to offer; who want to become clients/customers.

Welcome to my page! I am grateful and often overwhelmed with appreciation by the community and support I have built around my business from the past 15+ years of branding and web designing. As much as I have to offer my clients, I feel I gain as much if not more from the creative, empathic entrepreneurs, health and wellness practitioners, yoga studios, ski resorts and non-profit organizations I work with. My plan with this page is to start sharing my collection of tips, tricks, and knowledge to other business owners. Sharing what I know and have learned over the past 15 years to successfully get your business out to the people that matter to you. From inspirational stories of female entrepreneurs, to the large-scale branding methods of ski-resorts, and spreading the word of some amazing companies I work with and what they’re doing, there’s so much I am excited to share with my community.
