šŸ” MEET BOB šŸ”

Bob is the kind of puppy who marches to the beat of his own little drum. While he loves wrestling with his sisters and following the bigger dogs around, he’s also perfectly happy stretching out for a nap on his own after a busy day of puppy adventures.

This handsome boy has an easygoing personality that makes him a joy to have around. He loves people of all ages, happily climbs into laps for cuddles, and has never met a stranger he didn’t want to say hello to. Whether he’s playing with other dogs, exploring the yard, or soaking up attention from his humans, Bob is always content just being part of the fun.

One of Bob’s greatest loves in life? Pinecones. Give this little guy a pinecone to proudly carry around the yard, and he’s in heaven. He also loves stuffed toys, spending time outside, and following his foster dog siblings wherever they go. And when it’s mealtime, Bob doesn’t hold back — his foster says he enthusiastically dives face-first into his food bowl, often knocking it over in the process. It’s impossible not to laugh at his adorable determination!

Bob would love a home with another playful dog or an active family to share his adventures with. If you’re looking for a sweet, handsome, happy-go-lucky puppy who will make you smile every single day, Bob is ready to become your new best friend.

Curious about an animal’s breed or adult-size?
We choose not to guess the breed(s) of our adoptable pups, as we can never be certain without an official DNA test. For this reason, we also can’t guarantee any dog to be a particular size/weight when fully grown. If you’d prefer a pup whose adult size is known, we have many amazing adult and near-adult dogs looking for homes too!

🐾 Teaching Tuesday 🐾

Aweee... look at sweet Ducky sitting so patiently and respectfully — a behavior that we want to REWARD with our love, attention, and eye contact!

But is there a time when your dog should not receive your attention or eye contact? Yep — when they perform unwanted behaviors.

When your pup is doing something that you don’t want to encourage (like jumping or barking), you may feel it’s necessary to step in, react, and make eye contact with them in order to make them stop. However, in that scenario, your dog is actually getting exactly what they want: your attention! The best way to get them to stop is to show them that that particular behavior will actually not get them any attention at all. They will eventually give up and cease, which is a great time to positively show them what you’d like them to do instead and heavily reward that GOOD behavior.

It may take a bit of patience to keep your eyes off your misbehaving pup, but in the end, it’ll pay off. Stay calm, cool, and collected!
