The puppy put in some hard work in order to retrieve some wonderful ducks. These bags of SW Colorado wild duck flanks and feathers are getting delivered to some regular customers who appreciate the benefits of private water fly fishing and the art of fly tying.

At High Hilton Ranch, an irrigation canal runs the entire length of the property. So if you're striking out on the main river, try your luck along the canal road. You just might get a fish or two to rise.

Ever reached your fishing spot only the find the water looking like this? Don't get to thinking the day's a bust. The fish aren't fans of muddy water either and tend to hang out along the edges and bottom of the river. So try your luck with some bigger, flashier flies in slower-moving areas like the banks or behind obstructions.
