Kids In Mourning

We received a thank card from Ethan and Elliott's mother and it truely touched our heart hearing how wonderful their experience in Pagosa was!
The card reads:
"I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to you for arranging the boys day out in Pagosa. They have wonderful memories of visiting the Springs with their Dad and were able to share those memories on our visit. The whole experience was refreshing and positive. Thank you again!"

Put a smile on my face to see these two little cuties, Ethan and Elliott enjoying their special day away at Pagosa hot Springs!

February 7th Ethan and Elliot (who lost their father to mental illness/suicide) will be going to a special place where they used to spend time with their father, Pagosa Hot Springs. The Springs Resort generously donated a room and passes for the boys! Alley House their favorite restaurant will be sponsoring their dinner! Ethan is an avid reader so we gave him and his brother $25 gift cards to Maria's Bookstore. While little Elliot loves everything dog related we have him doggy Pjs for his trip and a pet and play stuffed doggy companion!

Had a super presentation explaining the "who, what, when, where, and whys" about Kids In Mourning with our ever friendly and kind Human Resources Department for La Plata County. Also, found my doppelganger on the front of a magazine cove while waiting in the lobby! ;-) And of course a big thank you once again to Kristen Miears for taking awesome pictures!

Absolutely excited to say that were are sending Mac and Merrie on their "Day Away" Jan 10th with two friends to go go bowling at Sky Ute Casio and dinner at their favorite restaurant Steamworks! And because of the generous donations from Sky Ute and Steamworks the kids will also get a $40 drink and arcade fund and $75 Visa gift cards to spend at their favorite stores!
