Fig Tree Story…. One Little Sprig

Dear Friends,

This story begins with a single sprig.

In the 1930s, my father, Salvatore Augello, planted a cutting from a Turkish Brown fig tree in a small backyard in Manhattan. That cutting came from his hometown in Sicily. Over the decades, that tree traveled with our family—to Long Island, to Massachusetts, and finally here to Georgia, where the trees have truly thrived.

Today, I propagate these trees not just to preserve our family history, but to support those who serve our country.

A Note on the Upcoming Weather – Stay Safe!

Dear Friends and Valued Customers,

In light of the weekend weather predictions and Governor Kemp’s State of Emergency declaration, we want to ensure the safety of our dedicated team and our loyal customers.

Because our vendors have paused deliveries and we want everyone to stay safely off the roads, E. 48th Street Market will be
closed on
Monday, January 26th.

We plan to reopen on Tuesday at 10:00 AM** and return to our regular operating schedule.

We wish you and your families a safe, cozy, and warm weekend. We truly appreciate you’re understanding and look forward to seeing you—and serving you—once the sun comes back out and warms up a bit!
