Friends Fighting Cancer

Friends Fighting Cancer recently honored its 2026 scholarship recipients at a reception. Pictured are front row-Avery Matthews (Triton), Mary Kathryn Tripp (Cape Fear Christian Academy), middle row-Katie Matson, Jordan Maples (Brookside Christian Academy), back row-scholarship committee chairperson Heather Williams and President Robbie Tart. Cole Stevens (Triton) is not pictured. Each recipient submitted an application featuring an essay outlining the impact of a parent or grandparent's cancer diagnosis on their life.
