Join the Kelly® Professional & Industrial team as a Forklift Operator in Norwich, NY.

$16/hr.

Monday – Friday 7:15am to 3:45pm (OT on Saturdays)

Temp with Temp to hire opportunity (potential to be hired on full time, but may need to be flexible on shifts to be full time, might not be 1st shift FT position).

What’s a typical day as a Forklift Operator? You will:

Return, raw materials, packaging materials, etc This will include outside storage facilities as well.
Facilitate raw materials for department productions.
Distribute paperwork to the necessary departments to insure a timely release.
Ensure all raw materials are sampled, stored according to plant GMP s/SOP s and safety procedures.
Accurately enter bin transfers, etc. and retrieve data from the computer system.
Enter all incoming material in the receiving Excel worksheet.
Keep work area in a clean and safe manner.
Coordinate and prioritize work in the absence of the warehouse supervisor.
Check and perform inventory counts accurately as required.
Order checking, label making, UPS and FEDEX shipping, and coordinating finished product/raw material transfers from outside warehouses.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have/can:

Forklift experience/knowledge preferred, being certified prior to being hired not required, must be certified via client.
Successfully pass all DOT HAZMAT training requirements.
Follow instructions, be a team player and communicate well. Must have the ability to be flexible and work with limited supervision, must be a quick thinker. Demonstrate leadership in the area of safety. This requires observing and enforcing safety rules and practices, encouraging safe work behaviors, and promptly correcting conditions and unsafe behavior, which may lead to accidents.

Some Workers will be using an RF (Radio Frequency) barcode scanner to pick the product and then will go to the processing station and process the orders. Lifting to up to 50 lbs.
