Today we congratulate Kevin Haney on his well-earned retirement from the Duluth Fire Department.

Kevin’s fire service journey began with 2 years at the Albert Lea Fire Department before dedicating the next 27 years to serving the Duluth community.

Over his career, Kevin spent:
🔥 Over 13 years as a Fire Equipment Operator on Engine 8 and Engine 10
🔥 11 years as a Captain on Rescue 1
🔥 Countless hours training pilots for Marine 19
🔥 Many years in the field and at the fire school teaching firefighters the craft of fire attack and how to do the job the right way

His impact goes far beyond the calls; through mentorship, training, and leadership, Kevin has left a lasting mark on this department and the people in it.
