Following ISD709- Summit will be CLOSED today due to weather. Stay warm and safe and we will see you all Monday!

Despite already being closed for winter break, ISD709 has closed all administrative buildings and cancelled all ECFE classes and keyzone activities for tomorrow due to the impending storm. Following policy, Summit School will be CLOSED tomorrow 2/18. Stay safe and warm and hopefully we see everyone on Thursday!

What an amazing turn out for our second annual Halloween Extravaganza! Almost 200 people- former and current families- attended to trunk or treat, explore the building, and engage in fun Halloween activities in the classrooms. We are very grateful for the Summit community and hope to see everyone at our next event!

We were shocked and saddened to hear the news of the weekend events in our neighborhood. Those of us that knew MaeDean were lucky to work with her here at Summit and get to know the sassy grandma that she loved to be. She dedicated 3 years to the school working in all age groups until she retired in 2021 to spend more time with her great grandson. After speaking with the Summit community, we are hoping to plant a memorial tree with fencing and a plaque to honor her memory and the work she did here. Feel free to share fond memories of Ms. MaeDean here to honor her as well.
